Duelist Kingdom[]

  • In episode 5, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. Weevil then activates "Parasite Worm" to destroy this card, inflicting damage to Yami Yugi equal to this card's ATK.
  • In episode 24, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Yami Yugi then activates "Multiply" to have this card turn into an ever-multiplying wall incapable of being destroyed. Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" then attacks the multiplying wall but does no damage and the multiplying wall reforms itself. Yami Yugi then activates "Living Arrow" to use "Polymerization" to fuse "Mammoth Graveyard" onto "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to have an imperfect fusion that would decrease the ATK of "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" by 1200 during Yami Yugi's End Phase, and "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" attacks but fails to destroy the multiplying wall then "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses 1200 ATK on Yugi's End Phase. On the next turn, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" attacks the multiplying wall which remains then "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses another 1200 ATK on Yami Yugi's End Phase. On the following turn, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" attacks the multiplying wall which remains then "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses another 1200 ATK on Yami Yugi's End Phase. This card remains on the field as "Celtic Guardian" nearly attacks "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" before Yugi Muto stops himself, costing Yugi the Duel.
  • In episode 30, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. On the Duel's last turn, Yami Yugi activates "Black Luster Ritual" to Tribute this card and "Gaia The Fierce Knight" in order to Ritual Summon "Black Luster Soldier".
    • In the same episode, this card also appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he remembers wagering Kaiba's life right when he was about to win. Unlike Yugi Muto, Yami Yugi notes that he thought if he would have lost his pride as a Duelist if he had lost but instead he realized something else.
  • In episode 38, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. This card is shown in his hand. In the following episode, Yami Yugi sets this card in Defense Position. Yami Yugi reveals this card when the effect of Pegasus's "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" tries to equip "Magician of Black Chaos", activating "Multiply" to create multiplying clones in front of "Magician of Black Chaos" which forces "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" to absorb the multiplying clones instead and gain ATK equal to this card's ATK. The multiplying clones then self-destruct and Yami Yugi then takes damage equal to this card's ATK, resulting in "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" being blinded which frees "Magician of Black Chaos".
    • In episode 35, this card appears in Yugi Muto's thoughts when he notes to take all of his grandfather's wisdom before his Duel against Pegasus.

Legendary Heroes[]

  • In episode 45, Yami Yugi uses this card in the virtual game alongside Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine. He Normal Summons this card. The effect of "Catapult Turtle" then launches this card at a swarm of "Great Moth" that were going after Yami Yugi and his friends. Yami Yugi then activates "Multiply" to turn this card into many clones which were used to destroy the swarm of "Great Moth" since this card self destructs upon making physical contact with enemy Monster Cards.

Battle City[]

  • In episode 60, Yami Yugi has this card during his Duel against Arkana. This card is shown in his hand. On the Duel's third turn, Yami Yugi discards this card when he activates "Card Destruction".
  • In episode 68, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Seto Kaiba against Rare Hunter 2 and Rare Hunter 3. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. Yami Yugi didn't make any use of this card or his set cards, respecting Kaiba's wishes to not interact. This card remained on the field until the Duel is over.
  • In episode 71, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Seto Kaiba against Lumis and Umbra. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. Yami Yugi later activates "Multiply" to create many clones to protect Kaiba from a direct attack from Umbra's "Shining Abyss". Lumis then activates "Mask of Dispel" to negate "Multiply" which turns the clones back into this card. Lumis's "Grand Tiki Elder" then attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 82, this card appears in a flashback Joey Wheeler has when he passes by Odion Ishtar and remembers Marik possessing him to Duel against Yugi for Marik's desire.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi Muto is rebuilding his Deck.

Virtual World[]

  • In episode 99, both versions of Yugi uses this card during their Duel against Gansley. This card is shown when Yami Yugi considers which Monster Card should be his Deck Master, intending to choose "Dark Magician" before this card immediately chose itself as his Deck Master. Yami Yugi had no other choice but to make this card as his Deck Master as the selection can't be changed once chosen. In the next episode, this card is still on the sidelines. In the following episode, Gansley's "Ruklamba the Spirit King" attacks Yami Yugi directly, but Yugi Muto uses this card's Deck Master ability to negate the damage that would've been taken yet also puts this card on the field and in danger of being destroyed (as the player automatically loses when a Deck Master is destroyed). On the Duel's final turn, Yami Yugi equips this card with "Rainbow Blessing", allowing "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" to attack Gansley directly (as the Deck Master ability of Gansley's "Deepsea Warrior" doesn't work against direct attacks), winning Yami Yugi the Duel.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears when Yami Yugi is building his Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he notes he can't attack with "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" again as Gansley will use his Deck Master's ability of "Deepsea Warrior" to negate the attack and inflict damage to Yami Yugi equal to the ATK of "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast".
  • In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa Gardner has when she remembers Yugi Muto talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to Yugi and having a great hidden power.
  • In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
    • In the same episode, this card also appears in a flashback explained by Leichter when he reminds Seto that his birthday gift from Gozaburo Kaiba was where all the mistakes made by Seto himself began.
  • In episode 111, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Big Five. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. In the next episode, the Deck Master ability of Johnson's "Judge Man" later destroys this card and "Mystical Elf", and Joey's "Alligator's Sword" and "Cyber Harpie"; Yami Yugi and Joey then take 1000 damage since two of their Monster Cards are each destroyed.
  • In episode 117, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Yami Yugi then uses this card to attack Noah directly. On his next turn, Yami Yugi switches this card to Defense Position. The effect of Noah's "Otohime" later switches this card to Attack Position. Noah's "Yamata Dragon" then attacks this card. In the next episode, this card is destroyed but Yami Yugi activates "Nutrient Z" to increase his Life Points by 4000 before the damage is subtracted from his Life Points. The Deck Master ability of Noah's "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane" then increases Noah's Life Points by the damage Yami Yugi took, and Noah activates "Sebek's Blessing" to increase his Life Points by the Battle Damage Yami Yugi took.

Battle City Finals[]

  • In episode 129, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. This card is seen when Yami Yugi searches his Deck when Kaiba activates "Lullaby of Obedience". Two episodes later, Yami Yugi discards this card from his hand to nullify the damage he would have taken with the effect of "Obelisk the Tormentor" to destroy all of Yami Yugi's Monster Cards and inflict 4000 damage to Yami Yugi's Life Points as "Slifer the Sky Dragon" is immune due to being an Egyptian God. Yami Yugi then thanks this card as he would have lost the Duel without this card's help, angering Kaiba that Yami Yugi would defy and mock an Egyptian God with this card.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is seen in a flashback of the last time Yugi Muto used "Exchange" which helped save Joey from Marik's mind control.
    • In episode 135, this card is seen in a series of flashbacks that Yami Yugi has when he notes to himself that his rivalry with Kaiba allowed him to fight harder and reach new heights.
  • In episode 138, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Marik. This card is shown in his hand. Four episodes later, Yami Yugi banishes this card in order to activate "Ragnarok". This card is then shown as one of the many Monster Cards that are used to hold down "The Winged Dragon of Ra" while merged with Yami Marik yet restrained by Marik Ishtar.

Waking the Dragons[]

  • In episode 146, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Gurimo. He discards this card and an unknown Spell Card in order to activate "Magical Academy".
  • In episode 156, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He activates "Five Star Twilight" in order to Special Summon this card, "Kuribah", "Kuribee", "Kuribeh" and "Kuriboo". Yami Yugi then removed from play the Kuriboh brothers in order to Special Summon "Kuribabylon". When "Kuribabylon" fails to destroy Rafael's "Guardian Grarl", Yami Yugi removes "Kuribabylon" from play in order to Special Summon the five Kuriboh brothers from the Banished Zone. "Guardian Grarl" then attacks this card. In the next episode, the effect of "Kuribee" negates the attack on this card, and Yami Yugi removes the five Kuriboh brothers from play in order to Special Summon "Kuribabylon". In the following episode, Yami Yugi removes "Kuribabylon" (which was revived via "Necromancy" and "Hand Control") from play in order to Special Summon the five Kuriboh brothers. Each Kuriboh brother then gained 500 ATK due to "The Seal of Orichalcos". Yami Yugi then removes the Kuriboh brothers from play in order to Special Summon "Kuribabylon" (who now has 4500 ATK due the Kuriboh brothers' combined power-up and then "The Seal of Orichalcos").
  • In episode 161, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. This card then turns into an Insect-type Monster due to Weevil's "DNA Surgery". In the next episode, Weevil's "Armored Centipede" (whose ATK is 2100 due to "The Seal of Orichalcos") attacks and destroys this card; the effect of "Armored Centipede" then increases the ATK of "Armored Centipede" by 500.
  • In episode 163, Ironheart picks this card up from the ground after Yami Yugi drops his Deck while being flung from the train after his Duel against Weevil.
  • In episode 164, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against an Orichalcos Soldier. Yami Yugi discards this card from his hand when the soldier's "Orichalcos Gigas" (whose ATK is 2900 due to its own effect and "The Seal of Orichalcos") attacks "Obnoxious Celtic Guardian" a second time in order to reduce the Battle Damage to 0.
    • In the same episode, this card also appears in a flashback that Yami Yugi has when he remembers his Duel with Kaiba at Duelist Kingdom and how he let his pride over winning get the better of him.
  • In episode 174, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He activates "Five Star Twilight" in order to Special Summon this card, "Kuribah", "Kuribee", "Kuribeh" and "Kuriboo". After the effect of "Kuriboo" decreases the ATK of Rafael's "Guardian Grarl" by 1500 until the End Phase, Yami Yugi banishes the five Kuriboh brothers in order to Special Summon "Kuribabylon". In the next episode, Yami Yugi banishes "Kuribabylon" to Special Summon the five Kuriboh brothers from the Banished Zone. Yami Yugi then banishes the five Kuriboh brothers to Special Summon "Kuribandit".
  • In episode 182, Yami Yugi uses this card to aide in the battle against The Great Leviathan. Yami Yugi, Joey Wheeler and Seto Kaiba bring out three Monster Cards each, and Yami Yugi used "Legend of Heart" to transform the Legendary Dragons into the three Legendary Knights. All the Monster Cards then attack The Great Leviathan, but doesn't work. Yami Yugi then has "Eye of Timaeus" absorb the power of this card and "Multiply" and then attacks The Great Leviathan, but that doesn't work either.

Grand Championship[]

Dawn of the Duel[]

  • In episode 200, this card appears within Yami Yugi's mind when Yami Bakura claims to him that his mind is an unsolvable maze and that he pursues games like riddles.
  • In episode 222, this card appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he reminds Yugi that he taught him that a person's life is much more important than winning.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[]

  • In episode 18, this card can be seen in Yugi Muto's Deck when Dimitri is shown looking.
  • In episode 168, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.
  • In episode 179, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.
    • When Jaden bumps into the Yugi of the past, he shows "Winged Kuriboh" to Yugi to remind him that "Winged Kuriboh" was the card he gave to Jaden three years ago. Yugi does not recognize this event, but he takes this card out and notes both this card and "Winged Kuriboh" look similar. Yugi then notes that the spirit of this card was telling Yugi through a dream that he must duel with someone he would meet.
    • This card is also seen at the bottom of Yugi's Deck before Jaden shuffles it.
  • In episode 180, this card is seen in Yugi Muto's hand during his Duel against Jaden Yuki.
  • This card appears in the second version of GX Japanese opening song of 99%.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light[]

  • In the movie's opening sequence, when Yugi Muto solves the Millennium Puzzle, this card appears alongside other Monsters.
  • Although this card was not used in a Duel during the movie, Yami Yugi had this card in his Deck during his Duel against Seto Kaiba, according to novelization of the film. He is forced to send this card from his Deck to the Graveyard via Kaiba's "Deck Destruction Virus".
