In episode 20, Dox uses this card during his Tag Duel with Para against Yami Yugi and Joey Wheeler. He sets this card in Defense Position. After this card is summoned, the brothers Tribute this card, "Sanga of the Thunder", and "Suijin" to Summon "Gate Guardian". "Sanga of the Thunder" later attacks "Flame Swordsman". In the next episode, Yugi activates "Mirror Force" to deflect the attack back at "Gate Guardian", but Dox uses this card's effect to reduce the damage to 0. This doesn't stop the attack from destroying "Monster Tamer". Joey then used "Flame Swordsman" to attack this card, but Dox uses "Suijin"'s effect to negate the damage done to this card. Later Dox activates "Riryoku" to halve both Yugi and Joey's Life Points and transfer the amount to this card and "Sanga of the Thunder". Later this card attacks Yugi's "Suijin" (which Yugi had revived to his side of the Field via "Monster Reborn"), but the effect of "Suijin" reduces the damage to zero. "Sanga" then attacks and destroys "Suijin", as its effect can only be used once per turn. Later "Black Skull Dragon" (whose ATK was 4100 due to Joey using "Copycat" to activate the effect of "Riryoku") attacks and destroys this card and "Sanga of the Thunder", winning Yami Yugi and Joey the Duel.
In episode 78, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Joey has when he starts to remember that he is a Duelist (as Marik Ishtar brainwashed him into Dueling Yugi Muto and defeating him).
In episode 10, Dox uses this card during his Tag Duel with Para against Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale. He summons this card via the effect of "Tribute Doll". Later Syrus's "Steam Gyroid" attacks Para directly, but Dox activates this card's effect to make the ATK of "Steam Gyroid" 0 until the end of the Damage Step. This prevents Para from taking any damage. Later Para Tributes this card, "Suijin", and "Sanga" in order to Special Summon "Gate Guardian".
