In episode 196, Leon von Schroeder uses this card during his duel against Yami Yugi. After he summons this card, Leon uses this card's effect to Special Summon "Iron Knight". In the next episode, Leon activates "Iron Cage" to destroy this card until his next turn. This increases the ATK of "Iron Knight" by 1000. On Leon's next turn, the effect of "Iron Cage" effect expires, returning this card to the field. The ATK of "Iron Knight" then decreases by 1000. Leon then uses this card's effect to Special Summon a second "Iron Knight". Leon then activates "Spinning Wheel Spindle" to destroy "Queen's Knight" for three turns. This card then attacks directly, but Yugi activates "Mirror Force" to destroy all of Leon's monsters. Leon then activates "Water of Life" to revive this card. This activates this card's effect, allowing Leon to summon a third "Iron Knight". Leon later switches this card to Defense Position. In the next episode, Yugi activates the effect of "Royal Straight Slasher" to destroy all cards on Leon's side of the field (it destroys all cards but "Golden Castle of Stromberg" due to its own effect). Later Yugi activates "Necromancy" to revive this card, "Little Red Riding Hood", "Forest Hunter", and "Iron Knight" under Leon's control. Yami Yugi then activates "Diffusion Wave-Motion" to allow "Dark Magician" to attack all monsters Leon controls once each. "Dark Magician" then attacks and destroys this card, "Forest Hunter", "Iron Hans", and "Iron Knight". Due to the effect of "Necromancy", "Hexe Trude" loses 2400 ATK (600 ATK for each "Necromancy"-summoned monster that was destroyed). "Dark Magician" then attacks and destroys "Hexe Trude", winning Yami Yugi the Duel.
In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is shown within Leon's backstory flashback when he explains how he became fascinated into Duel Monsters after discovering the game.
