• Noah Kaiba used this card in his duel against Yugi Muto. He first activated Change of Heart to take control of Yugi Muto's Dark Magician and then he Tributes it and the Spirit Token summoned via "Vessel of Illusions" to Summon Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. Next he activates Flaming Fist, raising this card's ATK by 200 for one turn. "Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi" would then attack and destroy Magician of Black Chaos which caused Yugi's Life Points to drop to 100 while Noah's increased to 10,000 due to the Deck Master Ability of "Shinato" and the effect of "Flaming Fist". Noah then activated "Spiritual Energy Settle Machine" so that this card's effect would not return it back to his hand during the End Phase. On the End Phase, the effect of "Flaming Fist" wears off, decreasing this card's ATK back to 2800. Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi is later destroyed by Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (with the help of "Quick Attack" which allowed it to attack on the turn it is Fusion Summoned) and this in turn drops Noah's Life Points to 8300.
