Zane then activates "De-Fusion" to send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon his three "Cyber Dragons" from the Graveyard. This negates the effect of "Red Ghost Moon" since this card was removed from the field. On the End Phase, the final effect of "Power Bond" inflicts no damage to Zane as this card was no longer on the field. Later Camula activates "Illusion Gate" to destroy all monsters Zane controls and revive this card under her control. She then offers Syrus's soul and explains that if she loses the Duel, Syrus's soul will be sacrificed to "Illusion Gate". This card then attacks directly. Zane chooses not to activate his set "Call of the Haunted" (which would allow Zane to revive "Cyber Barrier Dragon" which Zane could use to negate the attack and get another turn) in order to keep Syrus's soul safe. The direct attack then hits Zane, defeating him.

Sheppard then uses this card to attack and destroy Zane's "Cyber Laser Dragon". Sheppard planned to activate "Trojan Blast" when Zane activates "Creature Swap" to take control of this card because he knew that the real Zane cherished this card so much that he would want to take it back, however Zane activates "Lost Pride" to discard "Creature Swap" and add "Scrap Fusion" from Sheppard's Graveyard to his (Zane's) hand. He then activates Ruthless Denial to send "Cyber Barrier Dragon" to the Graveyard and force Sheppard to send the "Cyber Ogre" in his hand to the Graveyard. Zane then activates "Scrap Fusion" to Fusion Summon Sheppard's "Cyber Ogre 2" onto his side of the field by banishing the two "Cyber Ogres" from Sheppard's Graveyard.
