• "Cyber Dragon" was once the featured card for Zane Truesdale in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, although he has discarded it in favor of the "Cyberdark Dragon" for a short period of time.

• In Episode 8, this card's attack color was red flames, but after that it was changed to blue streams in later episodes. Also, this card's summon without Tribute was treated as a Normal Summon, not a Special Summon as it is in the OCG and TCG.

• In the English anime, this card's attack is called "Strident Blast". In the original Japanese version, it is called "Evolution Burst".

• Aase, Fight and Hung Soo use this in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator.

Cyber Dragon's design incorporates multiple layers of metal. Depicted here is the monster from side, and rear views and alongside views of it's head from different angles and height in comparison to Zane.

• The design of cards in the "Cyber Dragon" series have links to Chinese mythology, with Cyber Dragon, Cyber Kirin, Cyber Phoenix and Chimeratech Overdragon being based on the Chinese dragon, Qilin, Fenghuang and Chimera respectively.

• Cyber Dragon's design is based on the Chinese Dragon and as such is similar in shape featuring a long limbless body. It features white sheets of metal overlapping spikes on the upper and lower parts of the body and metal tubes connected from the neck to it's mouth and glowing eyes. Its mouth and eyes can vary in position to display emotion.
