  • In episode 115, after Jesse found Trapper in Professor Thelonious Viper's lab, this card's spirit and the spirit of "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" appeared. "Topaz Tiger" lunges towards Trapper, but the latter throws his whip at this monster, however "Sapphire Pegasus" pushes this monster out of the way and takes the hit instead. Trapper then captures "Sapphire Pegasus" and starts getting away, but Jesse recalls back this card and runs after Trapper.
  • In episode 116, Jesse uses this card during his Duel against Trapper. After Jesse Normal Summons this card, Trapper activates "Trap Hole" to destroy this card. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place this card in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. After Jesse activates "Rare Value" to draw two cards, Jesse activates "E Force" to Special Summon this card from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. This card then attacks "Infernal Blasthound". Due to this card's first effect, it gains 400 ATK during the Damage Step only. This card then destroys "Infernal Blasthound". Trapper then activates the second effect of "Infernal Blasthound" to Special Summon another "Infernal Blasthound". Jesse then activates "Triggered Summon" to Special Summon "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise". Jesse then activates "M Force" to increase the ATK of "Emerald Tortoise" by 500 until the End Phase. "Emerald Tortoise" then attacks and destroys "Infernal Blasthound". Trapper then activates the second effect of "Infernal Blasthound" to Special Summon another "Infernal Blasthound". On Jesse's next turn, "Emerald Tortoise" attacks and destroys "Infernal Blasthound". This card then attacks directly. On Jesse's next turn, "Emerald Tortoise" attacks and destroys "Lure Phantom". Jesse then tries to attack directly with this card but Trapper threatens to tear up the "Jerry Beans Man" if Jesse attempts to win so Jesse is forced to activate the effect of "Emerald Tortoise" to switch it to Defense Position. On Trapper's next turn, he activates "Decoy Baby" to target "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" and place this card in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as well as place one Prey Counter on this card. On the last turn of the Duel, Jaden swoops down from above and manages to knock Trapper down and rescue the "Jerry Beans Man" card, so Jesse is free to end the Duel. After Jesse Normal Summons "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" and activates the latter's effect to take "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" from his Deck and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone, Jesse activates "Take Flight" to return this card, "Amethyst Cat", "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", and "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" to his hand. Jesse then activates "GEM Burst" to place all Crystal Beasts in his hand into his Spell & Trap Card Zone as Continuous Spell Cards and inflict 500 damage to Trapper for each Crystal Beast placed into Jesse's Spell & Trap Card Zone. Since five Crystal Beasts were placed into Jesse's Spell & Trap Card Zone this way, Trapper takes 2500 damage and this wins Jesse the duel.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Jesse has when he remembers obtaining the Crystal Beasts from Maximillion Pegasus. Pegasus claims to Jesse that the Crystal Beasts chose him to be their wielder as he could connect his heart to Duel Monster Spirits.
  • In episode 121, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Titan, the Rock Spirit. When "Sand Doodlebug" attacks directly, Jesse activates "G Force" to Special Summon this card from his hand and make it "Sand Doodlebug's" new attack target. Due to this card's effect, it gains 400 ATK during the Damage Step only. This card then destroys "Sand Doodlebug". After that occurs, this card returns to Jesse's hand.
  • In episode 123, Jesse summons this card after he and Jaden get Blair Flannigan out of the hospital wing and away from the Duel Ghouls (which included Fonda Fontaine). Jesse then instructs this monster to get Blair to the gym quickly. This monster does so and Jaden and Jesse follow suit.
  • In episode 125, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Emotionless Mask. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks directly, but Emotionless Mask banishes "Silent Space" from his hand to destroy this card. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone face-up as a Continuous Spell Card. After Jesse Special Summons "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" through its first effect, he activates the second effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special all the Crystal Beasts that are currently in the Spell & Trap Card Zone. Emotionless Mask then activates "Silent Space" from his hand, but Jesse activates the third effect of "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" to negate "Silent Space" and destroy it by sending this card from the Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard.
  • In episode 172, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Jaden while the latter was thinking that Jesse was Trueman (This was due to the darkness from Sartorius's "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool" infecting Jaden's "Polymerization" card). He Special Summons this card via "Crystal Beacon". This card then attacks "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix". Due to this card's effect, it gains 400 ATK during damage calculation only, but Jaden activates "Mirror Gate" to switch control of both battling monsters before damage is calculated. This card then destroys "Burstinatrix". On Jesse's End Phase, this card returns to Jesse's side of the field due to the second effect of "Mirror Gate". This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 176, Jesse uses this card during his Triangle Duel against Jaden and Yusuke Fujiwara. He sends this card from his Deck to the Graveyard in order to activate the effect of "Cut Jewel". Later Jesse banishes this card, "Ruby Carbuncle", "Sapphire Pegasus", and "Emerald Tortoise" from his Graveyard in order to activate the second effect of "Rainbow Dragon".
  • In the original, this monster uses the pronoun "oresama" to refer to itself, indicating someone who thinks extremely highly of himself. In the dub, his voice is an imitation of Scottish actor Sean Connery, who is best known as being the original actor for James Bond (or 007, his codename).
  • Its attack name is "Topaz Incisor Shred".
