  • In episode 115, after Jesse found Trapper in Thelonious Viper's lab, this card's spirit and the spirit of "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger" appeared. "Topaz Tiger" lunges towards Trapper, but Trapper throws his whip at "Topaz Tiger", however this card's spirit pushes "Topaz Tiger" out of the way and takes the hit instead. Trapper then captured this card's spirit and drives off. Jesse goes after Trapper and eventually catches up to him. Jesse then demanded Trapper to release "Sapphire Pegasus". Trapper says he'll give him back if Jesse beats him in a duel, but if Jesse loses, then Trapper's capsule will drain out all of the energy that "Sapphire Pegasus" has, which will cause it to be destroyed. Jesse agrees to this and begins his duel against Trapper.
  • In episode 116, Jesse uses this card during his Duel against Trapper. Once Jesse Normal Summons this card, this card's spirit was freed from the capsule it was trapped in. Jesse then activates this card's first effect to take "Ruby Carbuncle" from his Deck and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone face-up as a Continuous Spell Card. Jesse then activates "Take Flight" to return "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat", "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth", "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", and "Ruby Carbuncle" to his hand. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Jesse has when he remembers obtaining the Crystal Beasts from Maximillion Pegasus. Pegasus claims to Jesse that the Crystal Beasts chose him to be their wielder as he could connect his heart to Duel Monster Spirits.
  • In episode 125, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Emotionless Mask. After Jesse Normal Summons this card, he activates this card's first effect to take "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" from his hand and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Emotionless Mask then banishes "Silent Space" from his hand to destroy this card. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Jesse then activates the first effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special Summon itself from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. Jesse then activates the second effect of "Ruby Carbuncle" to Special Summon all Crystal Beasts from his Spell & Trap Card Zone. Emotionless Mask then activates "Silent Space" from his hand, but Jesse activates the third effect of "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" to negate "Silent Space" and destroy it by sending "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger" from his Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard. This card and "Amber Mammoth" are then Special Summoned from the Spell & Trap Card Zone. This card and "Amber Mammoth" then attack directly, winning Jesse the Duel.
  • In episode 128, Jesse uses this card during his duel against Zane Truesdale. After he Normal Summons this card, Jesse activates this card's effect to take "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth" from his Deck and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone face-up as a Continuous Spell Card. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 130, Jesse uses this card during his Tag Duel with Jaden against Marcel Bonaparte while the latter was possessed by Yubel. He Normal Summons this card in Defense Position. The effect of "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" then activates, allowing Marcel to Special Summon a Phantasm Token. Jesse then activates this card's effect to take "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" from his Deck and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. On the last turn of the Duel, Yubel regains her physical form and takes over in Marcel's place. She then activates the second effect of "Chaos Phantasm Armityle" in order to inflict 10000 Battle Damage to "Elemental HERO Chaos Neos", but Jesse activates "Prism Wall" to redirect the effect to "Rainbow Dragon". Jesse then activates the first effect of "Rainbow Dragon" to send this card, "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth", "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle", and "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" to the Graveyard and increase the ATK of "Rainbow Dragon" by 1000 for each Crystal Beast sent to the Graveyard to this way. With six sent this way, "Rainbow Dragon" gains 6000 ATK, allowing it to survive the effect of "Armityle". The last effect of "Prism Wall" then activates, inflicting damage to Yubel and Jesse equal to the new ATK of "Rainbow Dragon" and defeating both of them.
  • In episode 175, Jesse uses this card during his Triangle Duel with Jaden and Yusuke Fujiwara. He Special Summons this card via "Trap Strap". Jesse then activates this card's effect to take "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth" from his Deck and place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. After Yusuke seemingly turns Jaden and Jesse against each other, "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" attacks Jaden directly via its own effect at the cost of halving the Battle Damage Jaden takes. Jaden then activates "Damage Interest" to inflict damage to Jesse equal to twice the damage he just received. Jesse then activates "Damage Capture" to increase the ATK of this card equal to the damage he just received until the End Phase. Jesse then, to Yusuke's shock, orders this card to attack "Clear Rage Golem". It is at this point Jaden and Jesse reveal that they were pretending to have been turned against each other, but whatever Yusuke saw in Jesse's mind was not darkness. This card then attacks "Clear Rage Golem", but Yusuke destroys "Clear Wall" to negate the damage and prevent "Clear Rage Golem" from being destroyed. On Jesse's End Phase, the effect of "Damage Capture" expires. In the next episode, this card attacks "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" due to the effect of "Attribute Gravity". "Flame Wingman" then destroys this card. Jesse then activates this card's last effect to place it in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Jesse then activates "Rare Value" to send this card to the Graveyard and draw two cards. On Jesse's next turn, he banishes this card, "Emerald Tortoise", "Ruby Carbuncle", and "Topaz Tiger" from his Graveyard in order to activate the second effect of "Rainbow Dragon".
  • In the dub, this card speaks like Mister Ed, a talking horse from the show of the same name (portrayed by Allan Lane) and his voice is similar to Christopher Lloyd.
  • Its attack name is "Sapphire Tornado" and its effect name is "Sapphire Calling".
