Owner, known as Master in the Japanese version, is the bartender at Bootleg.

BiographyEdit

Owner works as a bartender at Bootleg. He became friends with Bolt Tanner and acquired criminal markings at some point in his life.

After Yusei was released from The Facility, Tanner sent him to Bootleg with his "Giant Ushi Oni" card in search of Blister. When Yusei entered the bar, he was mocked and patronized by Owner, as he ordered a glass of milk. Owner got annoyed and grabbed Yusei by the collar, asking if he's yanking his chain. Yusei showed him the "Giant Ushi Oni" card and Owner realized that he was friends with Tanner, so he gave Yusei the milk for free. As he served it, he noticed Yusei was being followed. In the Japanese version, he tried to alert Yusei of this by making gestures with his eyes and advising that he leave. In the English version he overtly told him about the men following him, adding that Blister would find him.

Non-canon appearancesEdit

In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2009: Stardust Accelerator, Owner provides the player with Duel Puzzles. In these puzzles, the player faces Owner in a set-up turn of a Duel. Given the situation, the player must win the Duels in one turn.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia, the player must bring him a letter from Blister, to which he replies that Blister is the only one able to find such information. He also tells the player that he/she doesn't need to know what he'll do with this, and that he/she must come back later for a reward. After the main storyline is over, he provides the player with five other Duel Puzzles and will give advice if the player wants it. He will have a more friendly attitude, calling the player "partner" or "amigo/amiga".

In the video games he isn't allowed to drink alcohol, which is unusual for a barman and contradicts his anger in response to Yusei ordering milk. The player finds out that Owner can't drink when he/she talks to another customer in the bar.
