"Beastborg" (獣闘機 (ビーストボーグ) , Bīsutobōgu) is an archetype of DARK Machine-Type monsters used by Barrett in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.

Etymology

"Beastborg" is a portmanteau of the words "beast" and "cyborg", reflecting how the "Beastborg" monsters are Fusions of Machine and Beast-Warrior-Type monsters.

Playing style

The "Beastborg" archetype revolves around constantly Fusion Summoning "Beastborg" monsters and using "medal" Continuous Trap Cards to either strengthen the player's monsters or weaken the opponent's. The "Beastborg" Fusion Monsters have effects that inflict effect damage; with that, they can inflict both battle and effect damage constantly, allowing the effects of "Beastborg Medal of the Blade" and "Beastborg Medal of the Steel Chain" to trigger over and over. If the "Beastborg" Fusion Monsters are destroyed, they will Special Summon their materials back from the Graveyard, allowing the player to Fusion Summon again next turn while powering-up the monster with "Beastborg Medal of the Shield".
