"Barian" or "Varian" (バリアン Barian) is an archetype of cards used by Vector in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime after he possesses Dr. Faker, and later by servants and denizens of the Barian World.
Though it lacks support cards, it is distinguished as an archetype by the anti-support card "Barian Explosion".
The "Battleguard" cards are considered members of this archetype due to their Japanese names.
