The Legend of Power Street Duel Official Tournament (公式大会 ストリートデュエル レジェンド オブ パワー) a national tournament was held from July 25 to August 27, 2000 in Japan. As a national tournament, it was held in Japan's stores and streets using the game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters III: Tri-Holy God Advent. About 300 Secret Rare and 2400 Rare "Dark Magician Girl" cards were released and given as prizes to the first seven classified (rather than being bundled with the game, as implied by the prefix G3). 100 Secret Rare and 400 Rare "Dark Magician Girl" cards were given out as gifts by lottery; these promos were distributed by Weekly Jump and V-Jump Magazine employees at the event.

Some rumors state that the Secret Rare "Dark Magician Girl" given by Weekly Jump and V-Jump Magazine employees had a different effect and illustration than the one in circulation, because it was a sample card.
