Annie is Greiger's sister. She is part of a tribe that descended from those who served the People of the Stars. It is implied that she and her brother Max live in poverty, since Greiger was working to get aid for their hometown.
Though it was originally thought that Rex Goodwin had sacrificed her hometown in an experiment to summon the Crimson Dragon, in actuality, the souls of the villagers were swallowed by "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua." Annie was freed with "Chacu Challhua's" destruction.
