Amane Bakura is Ryo's deceased younger twin sister. She is only ever mentioned in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga where Ryo is seen writing a letter to her. It is later mentioned that she died in a car accident shortly after Ryo wrote to her. The two are very close before Amane dies. The letter Ryo writes to her reads:

"Dear Amane,
How is school? How are you and mother? Your brother started his new school today. I've only been there a little while and on the very first day I made a lot of new friends. They asked if they could come over to my apartment to play some games. I'm really looking forward "

He then stops as he hears Yami Bakura chuckling malevolently at him. This may imply that Yami Bakura was either directly responsible for her accident or was able to foresee her inevitable death.
